=545 0#$aSegundo Cueva Celi (Loja, Ecuador, 1911 – Quito, Ecuador, 1997) fue un compositor, pianista y director ecuatoriano, reconocido como una de las figuras representativas de la música académica y popular del Ecuador en el siglo XX. Realizó sus estudios musicales en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música de Quito y desarrolló una amplia trayectoria como intérprete, arreglista y docente. Su producción musical abarcó géneros nacionales como el pasillo, albazo y sanjuanito, así como obras para piano y conjuntos instrumentales. Entre sus composiciones más conocidas se encuentran Sendas distintas, Vasija de barro —en colaboración con otros músicos ecuatorianos— y diversas piezas difundidas por intérpretes nacionales. Participó activamente en instituciones culturales y educativas vinculadas a la enseñanza y promoción de la música ecuatoriana, consolidando una labor artística de alcance nacional.
